“Let’s get something to eat”, Ali said. She was starving
“Ok, we can go get something to eat, if you share that new skirt with me”, Sam said. She was ecstatic that her plan had worked. Ali was smiling again and she didn’t think that Nick could put a damper on her mood, atleast not right now.
“What? How come you didn’t get it?”, Ali asked.
“I really wanted the one that I bought. So, since you bought that one and I bought this one, I thought we could share”, Sam said. She was giving her sister a pleading smile.
“Fine. But you have to ask me. Let’s go eat at the Chocolate Bar”, Ali said.
Sam drove to downtown Reno. They went inside and ordered the Chocolate Fondue Fountain.
“Hey guys, thanks for this. I truly feel so much better. Nothing is going to bring me down”, Ali said.
“Your Welcome”, Lindsey and Sam said at the same time.
“We just wanted you to smile again”, Lindsey said.
“Well, I have certainly done a lot of that today. You guys are the best”, Ali said.
The girls were so hungry that they ate in silence. When they were full beyond belief, Sam drove back to her house. Lindsey was just going to stay again, but before she went inside she checked the mail. There was a thick envelope and it had her and Ali’s name on it and said it was from the Jonas’. She took it inside and called Lindsey and Ali to the dinning room. They opened the letter and inside were plane tickets. The date for departure was August 15th. They were going to touch down in Buffalo, New York. There was also a note inside, it read:
“Hey, we want you to come to our New York show and our New Jersey show the next day. Here are plane tickets, we will pick you up at the airport, when your plane touches down. Can’t wait to see you again.”
Ali picked up the envelope to look at the date the tickets were sent. It was August 5th. That was only two days before her and Nick broke up. Then she noticed that there were three tickets, not just two. Sam saw her pick up the third ticket.
“Ali you don’t have to go”, Sam said. She walked over and put her arms around her sister.
“I know”, Ali said. She stayed in her sister’s arms. No one was talking for ten minutes. Sam and Lindsey were waiting for Ali to break down, so that they could be there for her. Finally Ali took a deep breath and smiled.
“Are you going to go?”, Lindsey asked. She hoped this wouldn’t set her over the top.
“I’m not sure”, Ali said.
She gathered her new clothes and walked off to her room. She was still smiling, so Lindsey and Sam umed she would be fine for now. They waited for her door to shut, then took out their phones to call Kevin and Joe.
